Jose A. Gaudier, M.D., P.A.

Dr. Jose A. Gaudier is a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, American Medical Association, Florida Medical Association and Marion County Medical Association.               Dr. Gaudier was born in Alabama and before age one his family moved to Puerto Rico. He went to High School in the local Catholic School. He stayed in Puerto Rico for College and medical school education and moved to Birmingham, Alabama for his Neurology residency and fellowship training. Dr. Gaudier is married and has three children; he has made Ocala his home since 1991, when he started practicing Neurology. He has been an active member of the medical community. Dr. Gaudier has participated in several hospital committees through the years, including the MRMC Ethics Committee where he served as Chairman and helped establish protocols and programs to improve and maintain the highest degree of ethical care in our county. He has been instrumental in bringing to Ocala a number of medical educational programs for physicians and has participated in a large number of research projects helping bring cutting edge technology to Ocala. For his work in the Medical Society of Marion County he was named to serve as Vice-President of the organization in 2006-2007 and President in 2007-2008. In his passion to educate others, Dr. Gaudier has lectured patients and colleagues on various neurological topics. In addition, he has been co-author of several articles and makes every effort to stay updated in the latest medical developments. Among his best qualities, he is known by his colleagues and patients as a smart and caring physician who will take the needed time with the patients to address their physical as well as emotional needs. He is well liked and respected by all that know him, and will be glad to assist you in your medical needs.

Lacy Jernigan, Nurse Practitioner, A.R.N.P.

Lacy Jernigan

Lacy Jernigan is a board certified family nurse practitioner. She was born and raised in Ocala, Florida. After graduating from high school in 1999 she attended Stetson University and received a Bachelor’s degree in Biology in 2003. Following this she spent a semester studying functional anatomy and evolution at Johns Hopkins School Of Medicine. She then worked at the University of Florida College of Pharmacy department of pharmacogenomics as a DNA research assistant. n 2004 Lacy enrolled in the University Of Florida College Of Nursing and received a Bachelors degree in Nursing in 2005. She then completed her Masters of Science in Nursing in 2006. During her schooling she worked as an oncology nurse at Shands Hospital. After graduating as an ARNP in 2006 she joined Jose Gaudier, MD, PA neurology practice and currently works with him treating patients with a variety of neurological disorders.

 

KATHY SQUIER, Office Manager & Billing Specialist

Kathy has lived in Ocala 23 years. She relocated from Indiana with her husband and children. Her favorite activities are the beach and spending time with her grandchildren. She has worked in the medical field for 30 years. She has a degree in coding, billing, transcription and management. She has worked with the practice over 5 years. Kathy most enjoys the small practice environment and the closeness of the staff. Our patients are a very important part of our office.

CAROLINA MOLINOS, RECEPTIONIST

Carolina is originally from Colombia, she relocated to Ocala in 2008. She is happily married with two beautiful children. Spending time with her family and friends is her priority. Carolina loves to travel home to visit her family often. She joined Dr. Gaudier and his staff in 2018 hoping to bring her professionalism and compassion to patients. She is the smiling face of the front office.

STEVEN CROSS -TECHNICIAN

Steve is a neurodiagnostic technician at Jose A. Gaudier, MD, PA. He has been working for Dr. Gaudier for the past 4 years. Neurodiagnostic Technology is the medical diagnostic field devoted to the recording and study of electrical activity in the brain and nervous system. He performs nerve conduction studies, EEG’s, and evoked potentials. Steve identifies normal and abnormal electrical activity in the central, nervous, autonomic and peripheral nervous systems. By recording electrical patterns throughout these systems, Steve can provide valuable data that Dr. Gaudier will use to diagnose and treat conditions such as headaches, dizziness, seizure disorders, strokes and degenerative brain disease. He really enjoys been able to contribute to successful patient care along side the professional and friendly staff at Dr. Gaudier’s office.
